This Policy sets out important information for you about the way that I will conduct your meetings. By attending your meeting online, you agree to the arrangements set out below.
The following rules apply to online mediation, MIAMs and other online meetings.
- No one else can be present in the room you use for the online session, except when agreed in advance.
- You cannot be overheard from where you are participating in the session; particularly by children.
- You agree not to record the session in video or audio form or stream the session in any way live or at a later date, and not to share any recording of the session with anyone.
- In the event of an accidental recording of online mediation, you agree to destroy such recording immediately upon gaining knowledge of its existence.
- You must turn off or mute other phones, tablets and computers, disable notifications of text messages, emails, and social media activity, and close all applications on the machine used for connecting to the mediation session.
- You will sit in a place where the main source of light falls onto your face and, at my request, change your position so that your face is not in shadow or otherwise obscured.
- You will notify me of any problems with sound or vision. If the problem cannot be resolved the session will be rescheduled.
- You will observe turn-taking to ensure uninterrupted communication.
- I use a professional version of Zoom for online meetings. I will do my best to ensure that the mediation runs without technical difficulties and remains confidential, i.e. I will provide you with a professional and confidential single-use conference link.
